Product Information

Bike wheel inner-tubes for your tyre size!

Bike wheel inner-tubes of the two main valve types (Presta, Schrader.) Fitting a range of wheels and tyre sizes, from kids through to adult, BMX, road, hybrid, gravel or MTB. Many styles catered for. Valve types stocked:

  • Shrader (Car type or American Valve)
  • Presta (Long skinny type- also known as French valve)

Presta valves can have different lengths for different wheel types. They come in short, regular or long valve lengths. Where unspecified, assume it the regular length valve, which will fit a large range of bike road/CX/gravel type wheels.

Bike wheel inner-tubes for puncture repairs and tube replacement

What size do I need?

  • The side of your tyre will show a series of numbers, you need to find the ‘multiplied by’ sign to find out your size. For example, 14×1.75, 20×2.00, 26×2.125, 700x35c.
  • These are all common sizes. 14, 20, 26 etc. shows the diameter (in inches) of the wheel and tyre with the tyre fitted and inflated. 1.75, 2.00, 35c etc. denotes the width of the tyre at maximum (in Inches eg. 1.75-2.1 or MM eg. 35-40c) when inflated fully. Tyres will have measurements displayed in inches OR mm, sometimes both, with typically MTB styles using inches, and road/hybrid or gravel bike styles using MM.

Different sizes.. Same meaning!

  • There is a cross-section when it comes to tyre size information. For example, you may have a tyre which says 700x40c and 28×1 3/8.
  • 700c is your wheel diameter. When fitted and inflated, your 28″ tyre sizing will be true. So a tyre displaying 28″ will use a 700c inner tube.
  • Your tyre is showing you which wheel size it will fit and the size/width it will measure overall when fitted and inflated.
  • Manufacturers display both sizes, some prefer one size only displayed. Confusing for the consumer for the most part!
  • DM’s Cycles & Repairs can come to the rescue, because inner tube fitting can be done same day for you in many cases by booking or contacting DM’s today!

Don’t forget, you can also contact DM’s through social media channels in the main menu. Simply click the social feed link. Only high quality inner tubes are sourced and fitted to your bike, including Impac AV by Schwalbe, Kenda, Nutrak & more. Don’t see your size? Stock is frequently refreshed or special orders can take care of certain pram sizes which are not stocked.

Bought this product/service?

If you’ve bought a product or service from DM’s Cycles & Repairs through the website, you can review your purchase here. This helps others out when they’re looking to buy, and I always love reading how a product or service is received by you! You do not have to have purchased here to leave a review. A – Yes! Simply select ‘click & collect’ when going through the checkout. Paid orders will be held in store for 14 days before a refund is initiated on uncollected orders. Orders marked ‘cash on delivery’ I.E. pay when you collect, will only be held until the end of the working day. Extensions to any collection time can be arranged via any of the ways listed on the website contact page.

Finding DM’s couldn’t be easier as Alexander Street is right around the corner from Clydebank train station and bus stance at the bottom of the Shopping Centre. Look out for the grey & black sign and bike goodies in the window!

A – Orders placed before 5pm are guaranteed dispatched next morning (Mon-Sat) via Royal Mail collection if the item stock status is “In Stock.” Orders placed after 5pm may not make the cut off for next day collection registration and will be despatched the following business day. Postage to UK only. All items are sent Tracked 48hr and you will be provided with your tracking link at time of order despatch.

If a product stock status is “Available on Back Order,” your item is ordered from the supplier as soon as your payment clears. Your order is then delivered to DM’s before being sent to your preferred address. This process typically takes 3-6 business days from point of order to delivery to your door.

If a product has a “direct from supplier” postage option, this means you’ll receive next day delivery on any orders placed by 11:30AM. These products ship directly to your door from a major UK distributor. Only certain products have this option available as not all suppliers offer this service.

Standard & tracked postage is sent via Royal Mail with selected couriers being used for bike delivery, notably AMC. Please take into account any planned strike action by Royal Mail when selecting your delivery.
