Refund & Returns

Refund & Returns Policy Information & Procedures

Section 1

Our refund and returns policy covers 14 working days from the date any item was delivered to you. If 14 working days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange. If goods are still under applicable warranties and deemed to be faulty, DM’s may offer replacement goods to the value of your defective purchase as recompense.

To be eligible for a return, your new item or product must be unused and in the same condition and packaging in which you received it. You may be asked to provide photographic proof of any damages at point of delivery as evidence to the condition your product arrived in. Any product must also be in the original packaging, which cannot be in opened, damaged condition.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as nutrition goods, literature or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept returns of products that are worn around the intimate areas (e.g. padded bike shorts etc.), hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book/literature with obvious signs of use
  • Any media playback/recording item that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 14 working days after delivery


Section 2

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund in due course. Note that this process can take up to several days after receipt of item to be fully processed.

IMPORTANT: Please include a cover note with your relevant contact details with your return if sending through the post. Items arriving with no way of knowing who sent them will remain in a ‘blank returns’ box, until such a time the sender initiates contact. At such a time you will then be placed to the back of the queue for processing as standard.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or to your original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. This can take anywhere from 1 day to two weeks, and is wholly dependent on your operator or banks’ capabilities for return transaction processing.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Internet banking can sometimes provide a pending transactions function. Contacting your banks’ helpline can offer the same service.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. (see BOLD above)

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at quoting any relevant transactional details, order numbers etc. you are able to provide.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Discounted, clearance or sale items cannot be refunded.


Section 3

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged and it can be clearly demonstrated said damage has not been caused by user error or mis-handling. Please make sure you check any purchased items as soon as possible after purchase to ensure you are happy with them and to ensure a speedy turnaround service for any defective new goods. If you need to exchange any goods for the same item, and it is not possible to do so at a physical location, send us an email with the subject EXCHANGES (Your Order # Here ) to: and send your item to the returns address detailed in section 5, with a cover note as per detailed in section 2. Please ensure you pay for return postage at your point of sending as all costs incurred during the returns process are to be covered by the claimant.


Section 4

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate or card will be mailed or e-mailed to you. Which one is entirely at our discretion.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will can offer a store credit in gift vouchers/credit to the value of your returned item, provided it is in the condition as per Section 1.

Shipping returns

To return your item(s,) you should mail your product(s) to: DM’s Cycles & Repairs, 28a Alexander Street, Clydebank, G81 1RZ with a cover note as per section 2.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund in addition to a replacement item or product, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot ever guarantee that we will receive your returned item as this process is entirely out of our hands.
