Fixed cup & NDS bottom bracket removal tool set. A tool set for bottom bracket removal of the traditional fixed cup standard. Typically found on older or more basic newer bikes, likely with a steel frame. Your drive side will have a reverse thread (clockwise to loosen) fixed cup with two flats for a 36mm tool. Your non drive side will be of the adjustable cup and c-spanner lock-ring style. This excellent tool set contains the fittings to remove and re-install both sides and covers both incuse and obtuse non drive side fitments. Operation is by simple adjustable spanner which fits easily to the machined flats of the tool set.
Tip: This will remove stuck or seized parts, but sometimes pre-treatment of heavily soiled and rusted BB areas with penetrant spray and a kettle of boiling water can move things along nicely! The 36mm tool can be fixed in place over a seized cup by way of a bottom bracket bolt and several washers. This ensures you won’t slip off the flats and potentially cause rounding of materials.
This tool set has fittings for both drive and non drive sides, with the tool flats able to accept any adjustable spanner you may already have.

A – Yes! Simply select ‘click & collect’ when going through the checkout. Paid orders will be held in store for 14 days before a refund is initiated on uncollected orders. Orders marked ‘cash on delivery’ I.E. pay when you collect, will only be held until the end of the working day. Extensions to any collection time can be arranged via any of the ways listed on the website contact page.
Finding DM’s couldn’t be easier as Alexander Street is right around the corner from Clydebank train station and bus stance at the bottom of the Shopping Centre. Look out for the grey & black sign and bike goodies in the window!
A – Orders placed before 5pm are guaranteed dispatched next morning (Mon-Sat) via Royal Mail collection if the item stock status is “In Stock.” Orders placed after 5pm may not make the cut off for next day collection registration and will be despatched the following business day. Postage to UK only. All items are sent Tracked 48hr and you will be provided with your tracking link at time of order despatch.
If a product stock status is “Available on Back Order,” your item is ordered from the supplier as soon as your payment clears. Your order is then delivered to DM’s before being sent to your preferred address. This process typically takes 3-6 business days from point of order to delivery to your door.
If a product has a “direct from supplier” postage option, this means you’ll receive next day delivery on any orders placed by 11:30AM. These products ship directly to your door from a major UK distributor. Only certain products have this option available as not all suppliers offer this service.
Standard & tracked postage is sent via Royal Mail with selected couriers being used for bike delivery, notably AMC. Please take into account any planned strike action by Royal Mail when selecting your delivery.

A – DM’s is happy to refund or exchange, where appropriate, any faulty goods purchased through the DM’s Cycles & Repairs website or retail store. Goods must be returned within 14 business days of your delivery or purchase, with the receipt for the product (or email confirmation.) The packaging will be in unopened and resalable condition, or opened condition is acceptable where an immediate fault has been found with any purchased product.
