(Bracketed) denotes upgraded spec parts and features of your new Aggressor Two!..

Current (2021/22) GT Aggressor ‘Expert.’

  • Expert bike retails at almost £500.
  • Expert has a non adjustable coil sprung suspension fork (air, lockout, rebound adjust) with 80mm of travel (100mm)
  • Expert utilises the square taper bottom bracket system (Truvativ PowerSpline)
  • Expert has a non servicable chainset i.e moulded (fully servicable Truvativ)
  • Expert utilises ‘Microshift’ shifters and groupset (Shimano or SRAM)
  • Expert has semi-sealed headset bearings (fully sealed bearings)

Prices of parts and materials rise year on year, and every manufacturer wants the perception of never inflating the price of the latest model. I can virtually guarantee you that an older model of any given decent brand used better spec parts than what’s on the current model. Go refurbished, get a great deal, take a few paint scratches and add your own to the story! With a whole host of brand new parts waiting for you to break them in.

The sale..

This excellent GT (designed in California) brand mountain bike has seen a thorough overhaul for it’s sale, with myriad upgrades, it is fully ready to tackle the trails!

As a gents medium (18″) frame with a 26″* wheel, it is a suitable mountain bike for a rider up to around 5ft 9/10in. Coming in at just a touch over 13 1/2kg, it’s not a bike that’ll weigh you down! It’s strongly built, fully utilising the well known ‘triple triangle’ GT build style.

(*26″ is indeed the older standard wheel size- don’t sweat that at all! Your average rider will have as much fun on a 26″ as you would on a 27.5+”. Add to that that 26″ wheel parts are cycling ubiquitous- you’ll be able to get them from virtually any bike shop on the planet! Also, a 26″ wheel, by virtue of diameter, is harder to buckle than a larger wheel- there’s ALWAYS a trade off!)

With a list of brand new parts including:

  • 26” red anodised disc hub Quattro Sports wheelset in black and red, three red spokes per wheel, finished with anodised red A2Z QR levers,
  • all wheel brake fittings (pads, 160mm disc rotors, rotor bolts)
  • KRSEC AIR suspension fork with adjustable pressure, lockout lever and rebound adjust, controlling 100mm of superb and crisp feeling travel,
  • 2 Impac Trailpac 26″ MTB tyres, 2 inner tubes
  • Toopre 8 speed quick-link gold chain
  • A2Z anodised gold frame mounting bolts on the downtube and seat tube,
  • custom gold anodised headset stack from A2Z,
  • Red anodised headset cups with fully sealed bearings inside, new crown race included,
  • Truvativ power spline 68×113 bottom bracket,
  • anodised red alum. V brake mounting hole plugs for the rear stay,
  • red and black RDK saddle,
  • anodised red gear cable end caps,
  • inner and outer gear shift cables, inner cables- high quality coated black, Outers- black and white Clarks alloy ferrules,
  • red Oxford MTB grips,
  • anodised red bar end plugs with lock,
  • Shimano Tourney front mech helping to control the 24 speed 3×8 gear system effortlessly!
  • Shimano Acera 8 speed black cassette.
While not a “fitted” part, I’d like you to note that the headtube has been fully faced and reamed for it’s brand new sealed headset install. (The pic just before the service assessment sheet in images) – The rear disc mounts have been fully faced and flushed for you using the Park Tool DT-5.2

Original, or very well conditioned parts on the bike include:

  • GT branded- Handlebar, Hbar mounting plate, Top cap, QR seatpost lever,
  • Gear hanger (3 point gear hanger alignment service completed,)
  • SRAM Avid Juicy Five hydraulic brakes, fully stripped, serviced and bled with pad retaining clips,
  • Truvativ Powerspline chainset with replaceable individual rings,
  • SRAM X4 rear mech with almost new SRAM 500p jockey wheels,
  • SRAM 8×3 trigger gear shifters,
  • Fully metal 9/16″ cage pedals in black and red,

It’s snappy, light and wants to fly, it’s more new than aged- and it feels EVERY bit of it!!

Postage to anywhere in mainland UK is £40, and your bike will be stripped and packaged professionally for delivery.
